T-shirt scarf/necklace

I was at my son's Pine Wood Derby a few weeks back and saw a woman wearing a cute scarf/necklace, she then proceeded to sit down and make one of these t-shirt scarves/necklaces. I complimented her on her scarf and she showed me how to make them. She also showed me how to make a flower that was on her scarf. I didn't find instructions for the flower but here is the  youtube link for the scarf/necklace. I hope you like it.

10 things you didn't know about me....

1. In 1988, one of my paintings was displayed at the San Diego Museum of Art. I was 10 years old at the time.

2. I have had one of my poems published in a book.

3. I won a "Best Body" contest at a hot, Los Angeles club

4. I have never been waterskiing, but have always wanted to.

5. I have been skydiving.

6. I believe you can be friends with an ex. Just because you can not be in a relationship does not mean you can not be in a friendship.

7. I have never left the continental United States. I have been to Mexico and to Canada, that's it.

8. Before I had children, I had absolutely NO fears or phobias.

9. I NEVER wanted kids.....now I have 3 and can't imagine a life without them.

10. I cannot type.

Such a lady!!!

Audrey Hepburn had the reputation of being a humble, kind and charming person, who lived the philosophy of putting others before herself. She had a grace that has not been matched in my lifetime. She was feminine but strong. She was a fashion icon with her clean lines, simple yet bold accessories and minimalist palette. These are all attributes that I believe make a lady. I strive to follow in her footsteps and be the best woman I can.

Mom 4 Real: DIY iPhone Case w/ Modge Podge!

Mom 4 Real: DIY iPhone Case w/ Modge Podge!: This is one of those projects that I have been dying to do for months, but I was a little scared! There was absolutely no possible ...

Healing Hearts

A friend of mine started this project and I think that it is a great program. I feel that it's a wonderful way to help people that have been emotionally scarred by some sort of violence.  National statistics show, that one in four women (25%) has experienced domestic violence in her lifetime. So imagine...as you walk around in a day and count off every 4th woman, young or old, that you pass by that she probably is one of our four.
A little about the program:
San Diego based photographer, Lori Brookes is sending out a worldwide call, for heart photo submissions, to anyone with a camera who desires to be part of the “Gathering Hearts” photography mosaic. While helping to heal human hearts of past and present wounds, both big and small, she is promoting a more peaceful way to be and live in the world with each other. The idea and purpose of making this an inclusive project is the great ripple effect and power of the shared consciousness of a like-minded global community.
